Joint meeting held to discuss further housing development
Officials have been trying to figure out how to address housing issues in Beulah for some time and last week the City Council and city planning and zoning board got together to figure out how to move forward. Mayor Darrell Bjerke opened the meeting with an introduction of why the meeting had been called.
“This meeting has been scheduled for a couple weeks and as of last week we tabled a second reading of Annabelle Homes and that would be the official business,” Bjerke said. “The other business we felt was necessary was to meet with planning and zoning to learn our collective feelings on the old nursing home. There will be no decision made on that topic, we’re just trying to find out what information is there and what we want to do.”
