Last week’s Region 5 Tournament in Center read like a Charles Dickens novel with two-time defending champs Center-Stanton playing the best ball of the season followed by some of its worse.

In the end, a two-game lead over Flasher wouldn’t be enough to earn the Wildcats a three-peat at the title. The Bulldogs will represent the region at the State Class B Tournament Thursday through Saturday in Minot.
