After a couple weeks of advancement over the holiday break, the Center-Stanton girls basketball team took a step back Saturday as they were blown out by New England 61-36 in a non-conference game.
The two teams were playing relatively even until sole Wildcat senior KaDee Berger got into foul trouble and sat out while the Tigers finished the first half on a tremendous run. Coach Drew Erhardt credits his team with simply not being prepared to play.
“We weren’t ready to play (Saturday) and that’s partially my fault and partially their fault,” he said. “We didn’t have them scouted well enough and we didn’t show up ready to play.”
