The Men’s senior golf league at the Black Sands Golf Course in Beulah is set to being the 2011 season on Tuesday, May 3, starting with an organizational meeting at 9:30 a.m. in the clubhouse, followed by an open day scramble tournament.

A young crowd of athletes represented the Center-Stanton track team last Tuesday for their first outdoor action of the season at the Beulah Miner Invite in Hazen. The team was missing many of their upperclassmen due to a conflict with other sports.

Weather put a damper on Center-Stanton Wildcat Wrestling’s first tournament. Poor road conditions following a blizzard even postponed action from Friday night until Saturday afternoon. Even then several of the registered athletes did not show up. The total of little wrestlers went from the mid-200s to only 83.
