Bison finish as Region 7 runner-up

Victories aren’t always works of art.
Beach, the preseason favorite, won their first Region 7 championship in volleyball last Thursday.
Hazen, however, made sure that win wasn’t going to be a masterpiece. The Bison bowed to a 3-0 defeat but the margin of victory was five points or less each set. Hazen gave the District 13 titlist team a scare in the first set and battled hard in the second game before falling by two points.
The final verdict was a reversal from last season when Hazen defeated the Buccaneers in the regional title match for the state tournament berth.
