Astros swing past Williston in season opener
If first year head coach Mike Clarys was wondering what kind of team he would have this American Legion season, he wasn’t letting on during Hazen’s season opening win over Williston last Saturday. He sat back and watched his experienced squad reverse a slow start and claim the series sweep with 5-1 and 14-2 victories over the senior Babe Ruth team.
“We have a lot of experience coming back so it was important to get out their and play someone,” Clarys said. “This was a good team so that was a pretty good test for us. It should be a good year.”
