Hazen baseball finishes season

The Hazen Bison Baseball team made a splash though couldn’t quite battle through all of the region’s top-tier teams, ending their season with a 6-1 loss to Velva-Drake-Anamoose in the Region 6 Tournament Tuesday in Garrison.
The third-ranked Bison entered the tournament via the play-in game versus Max on May 17 in Hazen. Led by big bats and Ethan Eberle on the mound, the Bison pummeled the Cossacks by the score of 18-4. At the plate, freshman Connor Doll went 3-for-4, senior Jon Doll went 2-for-3, sophomore Nate Leintz went 2-for-3, senior Colton Stiefel went 2-for-4, and junior Connor Hill went 3-for-3 with five runs batted in.
