The Lions may be king of the jungle. But this is the prairie, son. The big-play Bison once again provided fans big-time plays Friday night in a 39-22 homecoming victory over the Bishop Ryan Lions of Minot.

Though in different districts and different regions, Center-Stanton and Hazen seem to always be competing for at least one title … the champion of the Center-Stanton Invitational Tournament. Last year the Wildcats mastered a brilliant come-from-behind victory to claim the trophy for the home team.

Some games are superb, some games are horrible and some games are just enough. Playing two to three matches a week, not to mention tournaments, for three months is bound to wear anyone out. And that’s just how the Lady Bison felt last Thursday as they traveled the long road to Des Lacs-Burlington for a non-conference match with the Patriots.
