Cross country team finishes 3rd

The Southern McLean cross country team spent the day in Beulah on Saturday for their sixth meet this year. The hot weather wasn’t the best for the runners and the course was a difficult one, but the runners pushed through to give the varsity team third place out of the total 20 class B teams. Abi Waloch had a good 4K varsity run, leading the race for the first 0.6 miles to finish the race in second out of the 90 others with a time of 16.43. McKenna Weisenburger ran varsity as well this meet and placed third for the Roughrider team with a time of 18.2, coming in 22nd overall.
