Trojan Jenna Bayless poured in a game-high 22 points against Wilton. Devon Belisle and Jordyn Sondrol also scored in double figures with 15 and 12 points.
Alanna Smith was top scorer for the Miners with 20 points.
The Trojans struggled the first three quarters.
The score was tied three times the second quarter. A free throw by Miners Kelly Heck put the miners up by one 16-15 at the 3:32 mark of the second quarter.
At the 3:08 mark, Devon Belisle dropped in a deuce and, seconds later, Jordyn Sondrol scored on an in-bounds play to put the Trojans up 19-16. Sabrina Rust tossed in a two-pointer just before the end of the half to give the Trojans a 23-17 half-time lead.
The Trojans were not able to shake the Miners in the third quarter as the Miners’ Smith put down a triple to start the quarter.
The first score for the Trojans did not come until Belisle scored at the 4:58 mark. A put-back and a free throw from Bayless, with four seconds left, put the Trojans up 34-28. A pair of free throws from Kaeley Schatz, with less than a second left in the third, cut the Trojans’ lead to 34-30.
