Trojans sweep Comets

The Trojans of Turtle Lake-Mercer McClusky beat the Underwood Comets Monday at Underwood, three games to none.
The win puts the Trojans in second place in district standings with a 3 and 1 record. The Trojans are seven wins and four losses overall.
In game one, the Comets took a 2-0 lead after an Abby Landenberger ace.
The Trojans then scored twelve unanswered points with Rachel Hanson serving. In that run, Hanson scored a pair of aces and a kill; Kim Tkach put down a pair of kills; and Courtney Hausauer got a block and a kill for the Trojans to take a 12-2 lead.
From there the Trojans were able to coast to a 25-12 win. Karley Wahl got aces for the Trojans 23rd and 25th points.
Game two started with Taylor Fylling putting down a kill, followed by a pair of aces from Brittany Thomas to put the Trojans in front, 3-0.
