Aggies go to 7-0 in district
The Aggies picked up two more wins this week, leaving them with a 7-0 record in district play and 14-2 overall.
Velva faced off with their neighbors down the road on Feb. 10, and stunned the Sawyer Flashes 105-40.
“It was a game where everyone got some playing time,” said Velva Coach John Lauinger.
Cole Lauinger led the Aggie offense, draining 20 points. Jon Mack put away 16, Josh Sandy and Zac Podoll sank 11 each, Tyler Ystaas had 10 points, Jordan Weidler had 8, Josh Weidler, Michael Wiest and Taylor Bauer had 6 a piece, Sam Schultz scored 5, Taylor O’Shea put in 4 and Levi Anderson had 2.
For Sawyer, Ethan Forbes led the scoring with 21 points, followed by Derek Warner with 8. Casey Olson put in 4, John Dubovey, Grant Eisenzimmer and Dillon Marquart had 2 each and Alex Schoenberg had 1 point.
