Velva’s first road trip of the new season was a booming success, as they traveled to Garrison and shut-out the Troopers 45-0.
The Aggies put up 271 rushing yards in 31 carries, while Garrison managed only 45 yards in 25 carries. In the air, Velva quarterbacks connected 9 times for 115 yards while Garrison had 2 completions for 21 yards. Each team had 10 possessions, but the Aggies never punted and scored on 7. Garrison punted 5 times and turned the ball over 4 times, while Velva gave it up twice.
The score was a lopsided 25-0 by the end of the first quarter as the Aggies put it in the end zone four times in the opening period.
Josh Weidler made the first mark when he snagged a 5 yard pass from Tyler Ystaas. Less than two minutes later, Kyle Kuntz was on the receiving end of a 15 yard toss from Ystaas for another touchdown.
