The Velva gridiron crew traveled to Berthold last Friday to take on regional foes Lewis & Clark/Our Redeemer’s. They handed th Bombers a 38-0 drubbing and came one step closer to claiming the second place seed in Region 3.

The Velva cross country runners competed in the Beulah-Hazen Invitational last weekend, and came home with seventh place for the varsity girls and ninth place for the boys.

An old rivalry was renewed in Stanley last Friday night, and Velva came out on the short end of a 16-8 score. Coach Larry Sandy noted it “lacked the intensity” of previous Aggie-Blue Jay match ups.
