Minnkota to announce line changes at open house

Minnkota Power Cooperative, Inc. will hold a public open house from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20 at the Betty Hagel Memorial Civic Center in Center.

The purpose of the open house is to share changes in a major transmission line project that had been announced in April. The transmission project is required to secure additional energy from Milton R. Young 2, a 455-megawatt coal-fired plant near Center, owned by Square Butte Electric Cooperative.
