State equalization still wants Oliver County to increase

Oliver County Tax Director Jacky Schulte has had quite a year as she continues the work required by the state to update real estate values. While most people understand that she is only doing what she is told, some haven’t been as understanding.

As 2009 creeps closer to the end, Schulte, for now, is also creeping slowly for the end and hopes her values will stand when reviewed by the state. The final hurtle comes at the end of the month when she meets with the State Equalization Board when they will either approve or deny the values she has presented.
