Center City Council members advanced their campaign to entice people to live in the community after passing a property tax exemption on family homes at their monthly meeting Oct. 5. The exemption would apply for two years to new construction only with a cost of up to $150,000. Tax savings for a homeowner at this value would be approximately $4,600 for two years, according to City Auditor Becky Vosberg.
