Autism, do you have knowledge to understand?

Approximately 50 educators, parents and interested members of area communities gathered April 7 at the Hazen High School Theater. They were there for one reason –to learn about autism, a subject that has made local headlines in recent months in the midst of controversy.

April, National Autism Month, is the perfect time for education about Autism Spectrum Disorders, especially when so many, even well-educated and caring educators and parents, don’t really understand what it all means.
