Rancher takes time out to help with power pull

When the roar of 300 horsepower engines jolts the Oliver County Fairgrounds this weekend, rancher Matt Erhardt will be there just as he has been for the past 10 years.

A lifelong resident of Oliver County, Erhardt has a ranching operation a couple miles east of Center. Although in the midst of making hay, he’s about 60 percent done. Still he takes time away from the baler to help prepare for the Power Pull competition.
