Dist. 33 legislators contemplate 2011 session with confidence
Voters in District 33 gave the incumbents a resounding vote of confidence. Sen. Randy Christmann and Reps. Brenda Heller and Gary Kreidt face a legislative session where money from oil taxes is plentiful, but so are the demands for that funding.
Kreidt said his first priority was to get back onto the Appropriations Committee. That committee will have a central role in the fights over spending that will dominate the upcoming session. Kreidt said he believes the Legislature will continue property and income tax relief that was passed in the 2009 Legislature. He added that legislators are going to have to support the programs created and expenditures made in the last session.
