Center water policy sees non-use changes

Under the current water use policy, property owners in Center pay $19.50 a month for water and sewer hookups even if they don’t use those hookups. At the April 4 Center City Council meeting, it was decided to change that policy.
Center resident Dean Windhorst had appeared at the March meeting to request the city stop billing him for water and sewer service at his property on Main Street if he capped the water pipe going to the property. He said he had not used the water or sewer services at that property for some years.
