Taking on the role of second parent

Eighteen sets of eyes stare up at the newest adult to trust in their lives Monday through Friday at the Center-Stanton Elementary School. These brown, blue, green and hazel eyes gaze longingly to please their new teacher who will have a great impact on the children's future in the academic world.

Mary Doll was bustling like a worker bee preparing for all of her new students in August and opened her classroom door to the kindergarteners. Doll takes on her first teaching position after graduating in May from Dickinson State University through Bismarck State College.
