In 2005, a couple of women from St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Center decided to use old polyester material and old polyester clothes to make quilts. Kathy Jacobs and Arly Haag got the idea that the quilts they created could be donated to the God’s Child Project. They worked in Arly’s garage with the help of Arly’s sister, Joey Erhardt.
