Riverside Park not in the dark

It’s a city park with a little bit of country flavor. And if all goes as hoped, Riverside Park southeast of Hazen will get some much-needed upgrades that could include a playground, picnic shelter and paved walking path.

Riverside Park dangles from the southeast corner of Hazen, connected by about 1.5 miles of gravel road. During the spring flood of 2009, the park was overwhelmed with water, large ice chunks and drifts of sand.
