Just when recent repairs and upgrades had Hazen Parks and Recreation confident that the Hazen Public Swimming Pool was in good shape, a leak has dealt the latest blow to the pool’s future.
A leak--measured by the city to be wasting 6,400 gallons of water per day--is filling an open area containing water pipes that run between the pool and the pool’s mechanical room. At current city water rates, financial losses will amount to about $1,900 for the summer.
