Road Department issues once again lead to heated metting

Road Department issues were once again the topic of heated words and outspoken arguments when the Mercer County Commission met for its second December meeting.
Zap Mayor Terry Barden and Zap Council President Jane Opdahl spoke with the commission about an incident that had occurred between Barden and two members of the highway department earlier this month. During that incident, County Road Superintendent Roy Braun and Shop Foreman Brandon Beadle alleged that Barden had not paid for recycled asphalt that was used in Zap.
