Latimer steps down

Lyle Latimer, Hazen, has stepped down from his post as Mercer County Commissioner.

The remaining members of the County Commission approved Latimer’s resignation at a special meeting Monday in Stanton. At the meeting, Mercer County auditor Monte Erhardt read an April 20 letter from the 76-year-old Latimer stating he is resigning from the commission as of April 30 “due to poor health issues.”
