Time for food, fun and fast turtles

Turtle Days will start out with food. This is happy news for those who like to eat their way through any celebration. “Free” is the bonus for the first meal on Friday. The meal is sponsored by Town and Country Insurance and will be served on Main Street from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., July 13.
Then start the fun things to burn off the calories. The kids do this anyway, but you can counteract the exercise by finishing off the evening with a brownie sundae sold by the St. Olaf Church women, also on Main Street. We can’t imagine that anyone won’t be able to find them.
From 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Main Street; some are set times; others are general or will be announced:
3-on-3 Basketball Tourn-ament on north Main Street. Paul Schlafmann at 426-4819 and Lesley Jacobs at 391-8903 are contacts for putting together this tournament. Fourth grade and up can play (even old kids!). Cost is $10 a person with a four-person max per team. Prizes will be awarded to the first three places in each division. Get registered by July 11!
