By ALLAN TINKER
Juel Anderson became the new TL-M School District board president at the July 18 annual meeting. The meeting was scheduled for Monday but postponed to Wednesday.
Anderson succeeds Rodney James who did not seek reelection to the board. Other members who left were Tina Goven, replaced by Sheldon Laib, area 4; Warren Bergquist, replaced by Lana Sondrol, area 3; James position on the board went to Teresa Presser, area 2.
Todd Sondrol remained vice-president; he had also been the other nomination for board president, edged out 4-3 by Anderson.
The members who left the board were all presented with a plaque in appreciation of their service on the board: James, since 2000; Bergquist since 2008; and Goven since 2004. Supt. Gaillord Peltier made the presentations.
The annual financial report for publication for the TL-M School District was approved. The report shows only $90,000 in bonds outstanding and $936,308 in the general fund as of June 30, 2012. Other funds will appear as itemized in the published report and can be reviewed there.
