Feeder Calf show highlights 13th season

The morning of Saturday, Oct. 15, was crisp and clear with a bit of wind. It was the 13th Dakota Feeder Calf Show and the town was busy with the various activities, including the demonstrations outdoors as well as those in the gymnasium-located craft show.

It has been a very good year

Turtle Lake is in good financial standing at this point in time. During talk about the budget at previous meetings, City Auditor Darwin Saari noted that Turtle Lake has done well financially in the last three years.

Professionalism strong suit of new ag vocation instructor

Benjamin Seidler added a dose of professionalism in his first days of teaching vocational agriculture. He did it in one fell swoop; he wore a suit to work and helped dispel the old stereotypes of Ag professionals “having to wear jeans” to fit in.
