Golden Apple awarded to Robinson

The North Dakota Association of Elementary School Principals has awarded Barbara Robinson, Underwood Elementary principal, the Golden Apple Award at their recent awards banquet at the NDAESP Mid-Winter Conference in Mandan, ND. Mrs. Robinson is celebrated for her commitment to do whatever necessary to enable teachers and students to focus on learning. Yet, in her words, “I just feel that what I do should be expected,” she said. She energetically engages in the myriad leadership activities inherent to a small town principalship: facilitating faculty book studies, organizing and leading county grade level meetings, raising funds for new playground equipment, securing classroom amplification systems, and building a professional library for her staff. Yet in her own words, “I have the best staff and great kids.”
