Get ready to rock!

Posted 3/30/10 (Tue)

What’s the hottest thing about July? While many people might say the temperature, others seem to think the hottest thing just might be Thunder Mountain Rockfest 2010.
For those who haven’t heard, the event – new this year – is planned for July 7-10 at Sawyer.
Touted as “three days of pure rock,” the festival features three days jam-packed with music. They will follow a free preview on July 7.  According to Ben George, rockfest general manager, the preview will feature Rocksugar, a group from Nashville. The evening show is open to the public – ticket holders and non-ticket holders alike.
Things will shift into high gear on Thursday, July 8, when several name bands take the stage. They include Asia, The Sweet, Foghat, The Guess Who, and Blood, Sweat & Tears.
Attractions on Friday, July 9, include Nelson, Great White, Kix, Survivor and Night Ranger.
Rock and roll tunes will continue on Saturday, July 10 when The Veer Union, Framing Hanley, CAVO, Default and Hinder take the stage.
