County zoning board talks regulation changes

2/23/12 (Thu)

Mercer County Planning and Zoning commissioners took one last look at county regulations after hearing some public input on the subjects of temporary workforce housing and commercial vehicle parking.
Zoning commissioners had decided last November to tighten up the regulations to place more authority in the hands of the county after hearing stories from their counterparts further west. Some of the rules focused on security and rules for temporary crew housing, or “man camps,” what would be allowed on site at a commercial parking facility, distances for these facilities from residential zones and what bonds would be needed.
