Four arrested on drug charges

Two individuals were arrested and charged June 23 in Center on drug related charges after a search warrant was executed by the Oliver County Sheriff’s Department. Two other individuals were arrested at the same time when their vehicle was stopped at another location in the city.

City asks county for location for impounded vehicles

The city of Center is looking for a location to build a storage yard for junk and towed vehicles. The Oliver County Sheriff’s Department would like a secured location for impounded vehicles.

Cross Ranch partially under water, still open

Campers looking for a getaway can still find solace at the Cross Ranch State Park. Park Manager Eric Lang said the Sanger campground just south of the park’s visitor center has 15 tent spots and seven electrical sites still available to the public.

An estimated 4.5 inches of heavy rain fell quickly Sunday evening beginning around 8:30 p.m. causing flash floods along streets and emptying into several Center area basements.
