C-S Public Schools willed 400 acres
Center-Stanton Public Schools has been willed 400 acres of land from a former student.
Jerome Brazda, who attended Center Public Schools, passed away May 20 in Turtle Lake. He was 88 years old.
His personal representative, Gerald Nordquist, informed the school board that the former Wildcat left an undetermined amount of money and 400 acres of land to the school.
“Jerome was a little different but he was very caring,” Nordquist said.
Family will have to finalize the transaction, which could take four months he added. The land transfer could also be contested, Superintendent Curt Pierce said.
