Wrong side of revenge
The Center-Stanton Wildcats found themselves on the wrong side of revenge on Jan. 15. The Wildcats hosted Washburn in a rematch of an early season tournament game. The last time Washburn and Center-Stanton matched up the Wildcats won 52-51, this time the Wildcats lost 66-55.
The first quarter of the game was closely contested with neither side giving up any space. Sam Goos, Washburn senior starting forward, and Noah Johnson, Center reserve forward, were called for a double-foul near the end of the quarter because of their physical play. Johnson scored a bucket on ensuing in-bound play making the score 15-10, in favor of Washburn.
