Joersz benefit planned
A spaghetti feed and bake sale benefit is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Washburn Ambulance Bay. The event will help cover medical expenses for Joel Joersz. Donations can also be made at Dakota West Credit Union in Washburn.
Ambulance meeting set
The Washburn Volunteer Ambulance Service will hold their monthly meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 27, at the ambulance bay. Anyone needing to recertify in CPR is welcome.
Book fair planned
A Happy Campers Book Fair, sponsored by the Wilton PTO, is set for 3:15 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, and Wednesday, March 1, at the elementary school computer lab. Proceeds go to Wilton teachers for classroom library books. You can go to www.scholastic.com/bf/wiltonschool Feb. 27 to March 2 to shop if you are unable to attend the fair.

Fischer open house
A open house honoring Ralph Fischer is set for 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Sportsman’s Bar & Grill, Wilton. Fischer is retiring from the post office after 26 years of service.
Phone book cover contest
We’re beginning the search for the 2017 McLean County Phone Book cover. Legion meeting scheduled
