Washburn wins HS acalympics; Garrison and Max tie for JH title

Washburn’s high school team dominated at the McLean County Acalympics Tuesday in Garrison, tallying 41 points to take top honors, with Max a distant second with 29 points and Garrison in third place with 28.

County to do Garrison assessments

The county commissioners agreed at last Tuesday’s regular meeting that the county will do the assessments on Garrison’s commercial properties per a recent email request from the city, but they want to be sure Garrison knows it is going to have to pay for the assessments.

County gets $3.6 million in Surge funds for county roads

McLean County has been allocated $3.6 million from the recently passed Surge Bill (SB 2103) in the Legislature, which is good, because there are plenty of roads that are in need of repair.
