Lady Braves take first place in Tioga
Area teams compete in two meets in three-day span

The New Town Eagles cross country teams traveled to Bismarck on Saturday for a cross country meet at Fort McDowell.
Despite being beat by six teams in the class “A” division for seventh place overall, the Eagles boys’ team took 1st place on the class “B” side.
The boys, who only took three varsity runners to the meet, were led by Clyde Baker (13th place-17:04) and followed by Scott Hale (20th place-17:15) and Joe Baker (38th place-18:01).
The Lady Eagles only had one runner for the varsity girls division and finished 13th place overall and sixth place in the class “B” division. Symbria Bell took 17th place (16:13) overall.
More of the area runners competed two days earlier in Tioga on Thursday, with area teams competing including Parshall and New Town.
The Parshall Lady Braves experienced the most success as a team on Thursday with a first place finish in the class “B” division.
