Trojans sweep Comets, Coyotes and Miners
The Trojans volleyball team raised their regular season record to 13-0 and district record to 5-0 with wins over Underwood, Sheridan County and Wilton.
Trojan Jordyn Sondrol kept her streak of double-digit kills going to 13 games with 20 against Wilton, 14 in the match against Sheridan County, and 12 in the match against Underwood.
The Trojans sit on top in district standings with one match left against Garrison/Max Tues. Oct. 27 at Garrison. The last game of the regular season is a home game with Standing Rock on the home court Oct. 30.

In Trojan action against the Comets, the Comets took a 5-2 lead in game one with a kill from Alix Auck and an ace from Becca Lawson.
The Trojans closed the gap to 5-4 with a couple of kills from Jordyn Sondrol and one from Morgan Zinke. A kill from Jenna Bayless tied the game at seven each.
Another block by Auck tied the game again at 10. Still another kill from Bayless tied the game at 11, then Bayless put the Trojans in the lead 12-11 with an ace.
A block and a kill from Sondrol, along with an ace from Bayless put the Trojans up 16-11.
Back-to-back aces from Taylor Fylling put the Trojans up 20-12. Blocks from Sondrol and Bayless and a kill from Devon Belisle raised the score to 24-14 Trojans. Sondrol finished the game off with a back row kill.
Game two started with the Comets taking a 7-2 lead, with Auck and Lawson getting kills and Rachel Neff and Lawson serving up aces.
The Comets increased their lead to 12-4 with Crystal Dammen putting down a pair of aces.
The Trojans started their comeback with a block and kill from Bayless. Fylling put down a kill and Rachel Hanson got the ball to roll along the net before falling on the Comets’ side of the net to cut the Comets’ lead to 12-8.
