Trojans sweep Wildcats

The Trojans’ volleyball team made it three and out against the Center/Stanton Wildcat, Sept.22, Tuesday night, on the home court. All three games were real close but the Trojans ended on top in all three: 25-21, 25-22 and 25-20.
Jordyn Sondrol was on top in kills with 17, followed closely by Jenna Bayless with 15. Rachel Hanson had a great game in the assist department dishing out 28 for the evening.
Karley Wahl led in digs with seven. Jenna Bayless stopped the ball at the net six times and Devon Belisle and Jordyn Sondrol each put down three aces.
For the Wildcats, Jenny Erhardt put down 11 kills followed by Becca Hovey with 10. Jenny Erhardt was the leader in digs with 12 and in aces with five. Holly Price handed out 21 assists.
Game one saw the game tied at eight with neither team having more then a one or two-point lead until Jenny Erhardt broke a 13-all tie with an ace for the Wildcats.
Erhardt then served up two more for a 16-13 lead. Becca Hove put down a kill to extend the Wildcat lead to 17-13.
A kill from Jordyn Sondrol ended the Wildcats 4-0 run. An ace from Sondrol cut the lead to 17-15 Wildcats. A block from Jenna Bayless and lift from the Wildcats tied the score at 19.
Kadee Berger then put the Wildcats on top 21-19 with a kill and an ace. A serve out of bounds by the Wildcats and an ace from Devon Belisle tied the score at 21.
A kill from Jenna Bayless made the score 23-21 Trojans. A back row kill from Sondrol made it 24-21. Jenna Bayless scored the game point with a monster kill.
The Wildcats started the second game strong, taking an 8-2 lead. The Trojans took a time out with the Wildcats on top 8-2. After the time out, Sondrol and Bayless put down kills to cut the Wildcats lead to 8-4.
An ace from Sondrol, a kill from Devon Belisle along with an in-the-fence call against the Wildcats tied the game at eight.
An ace from Taralee Anderson and kills from Taylor Fylling and Bayless put the Trojans up 12-9.
A pair of aces from Belisle put the Trojans up 16-10. The Wildcats closed the gap to 17-16 with a pair of kills from Erhardt and three kills from Hovey. Fylling put the Trojans up 22-20 as she put down a kill the added a pair of aces. Erhardt put down a kill and the Trojans were called for an in-the-net to tie the score at 22.
