Sweet smelling success
Velva native Elizabeth Redding took the solution to a problem and turned it into a business. Not just any business, mind you, but one that she is passionate about.
“I’ve always enjoyed the arts, music, performing arts, all of it,” Redding said. “Floral arranging is an art, and I always wanted my own shop.”
And now she has one … in a fashion. Instead of a brick and mortar storefront, Redding designed a mobile florist shop consisting of a refrigerated trailer where she stores and arranges all her work.
That means Bloom in Color doesn’t have a permanent address. The closest is when the unit is parked in Redding’s father’s yard just outside of Velva.
