The Aggies came out at the Region 6 Volleyball tournament last Monday night firing on all cylinders, but a determined Mohal-Lansford-Sherwood squad came back from a 2 game deficit to snatch victory from Velva.

Aggies pummel Holsteins

The Aggies opened last Saturday's quarterfinal playoff game with a big bang, and then kept right on rolling. Their formidable defense held New Salem/Glen Ullin to -7 yards rushing and shut down the Holsteins' red zone offense as they beat NS 33-0.

Velva girls are runners up

The Velva girls put up a battle, but couldn't get by number one seed Bottineau in the District 11 volleyball championship on Monday night. The Stars beat the Aggies 25-9, 25-22 and 25-15.

Aggie netters wrap up regular season

The Velva girls finished up regular season volleyball play on Monday night, falling 1-3 to the Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers. The Aggies won the first match 25-13, but lost the next three 15-25, 18-25 and 18-25.

It was a Velva game from start to finish as the Aggies mowed down the Des Lacs Burlington Lakers 59-0 in last Saturday's opening playoff game.

Velva undefeated, heads to playoffs

Following a decisive 43-7 win over North Prairie last Friday night, the Aggies enter this weekend's playoffs as the only undefeated Division A team in the state. That gives Velva homefield advantage through at least part of the playoffs, which begin this Saturday against Des Lacs-Burlington (1-7) at 1:30 p.m. (Velva beat DLB 33-0 earlier in the season.)
