Aggies headed for state championship

It was a tough fight with a tough team, and for the first time in two seasons, the Aggies found themselves on the losing side of the scoreboard. It was only one point, 21-20, but it was more than enough to light a fire and spur the blue and gold to a 30-21 victory. “You gotta give the kids credit,” said Velva Coach Larry Sandy. “They were on the road, they were down, and they could have laid down. But they fought their way back for the win.” The Aggies dominated the first half, punching in their first score off an interception. Mack snagged errant Watford pass and ran it down to the Wolves’ 5 yard line. Shortly after that, Collin Kittelson rammed it one yard for the touchdown. The kick went awry, but the Aggies were up 6-0.
