“It was a big victory for us, it keeps us in control of our own playoff destiny,” said Velva Coach Larry Sandy. “The region has some big games to be played yet, which will determine standings for playoff positioning.  Too many possibilities to mention, but we control our own destiny with victories.”
Michael Thingstad led the Aggie offense with 236 rushing yards and 3 TDs in 23 attempts. Chris Peterson took it 7 times for 46 yards.
Quarterback Drew Effertz made good on 6 of 14 for 98 yards passing with 1 TD and 1 interception. The scoring pass was a 6 yard toss to Peterson. (Peterson also went 4 for 4 on extra point kicks.)
