The mortgage industry across the nation isn't the only entity facing financial woes. Mercer County Commissioners felt the woes as they reviewed the budget Oct. 1 and then approved the budget for 2009, a budget that will stand an estimated $500,000 in the red as proposed.
The phone has been ringing off the hook at the Mercer County Auditor's office with people wondering where their Vote by Mail ballot application is for the November General Election. It was announced by the auditor's office last week that the applications were in the mail. Some received theirs, others haven't.
Mercer County voters take notice: If you want to vote in the November General Election, you have only two options: Vote by Mail or go to the only polling place in the county the Mercer County Courthouse in Stanton. The polls will be open at the Mercer County Courthouse from 9 a.m.-7 p.m., MDT, Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Newly installed security cameras at Beulah High School have taken the school a step forward to enhance the safety of students.
The system, approved several months ago by the Beulah School Board, offers 22 cameras in various locations of the school.
“We want to keep our kids safe and our building safe,” Superintendent of Schools Rob Lech said.
