Talk on three new projects started off the most recent meeting of Beulah’s City Council this week. Councilors listened as the projects – a diesel pump island, Annabelle Homes and the rezoning of the old nursing home – were presented.
Beulah boys basketball coach Jeremy Brandt is a bit of perfectionist. So when the Miners eliminated New England 68-54 Monday night to advance to the semifinals of the Region 7 Tournament, the coach had a few things he wasn’t happy with. A chance at a regional crown wasn’t on the list.
Beulah’s Planning and Zoning commission was put between the proverbial rock and a hard place during its last special meeting when board members once again heard plans and concerns about turning the old nursing home into rental units.
By Chris Erickson A shooting occurred in Beulah in an apartment building on 3rd Ave NW Tuesday night. According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, a call was received at approximately 7:20 p.m Tuesday night from a residence at 1206 3rd Ave NW in Beulah. One person was injured by gunshot, one person is reported as deceased. The gunshot victim was taken to Sakakawea Medical Center. According to the Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 10:20 p.m. three persons of interest were being detained and questioned. At the time of publication it is believed that two weapons were involved. The investigation is still underway. No names have been released. No charges have been filed at this time.
