Agreement, opportunities highlighted at flood meeting

What had been a contentious issue between south side residents and the Beulah City Council has evolved into an agreement on how to seek ways to improve flood protection for the community.

Nearly 30 people attended the meeting at Zion Lutheran Church on Oct. 27 to participate in a discussion of where Beulah’s flood fighting and flood recovery efforts are and where they are going. After weeks of seeming to speak at cross purposes, the group and the city seem to have resolved their misunderstanding and figured out what each institution’s role should be.
