Beulah Water Park set to open this summer
By Kate Johnson
Last June, Beulah Water Park announced it was closing for the summer due to a break in their pipes and its whereabouts was unknown.
Thanks to some bad weather and coincidence, the water park was able to retract their “closed indefinitely” announcement.
Jason Kerner with Kerner Construction and Pools was able to locate the water park’s leak while in the area fishing. Because of rain, Kerner answered the work call and decided to take a look at Beulah’s issues.
During the 2018 pool season, the water park was able to shut off the pipe that was leaking and carry out the season. Before the leak was located, the pool was losing nearly 10,000 gallons of water a day. After the verified broken pipe was shut off, the pool still lost 4,000 to 6,000 gallons of water a day.
Coming up on the 2019 pool season, Beulah Water Park President Kameron Plienis said they will be opening this summer.
