City not to run utility

In a special election on Tuesday, Beulah residents will vote whether or not to allow the city to form a municipal utility that could bring natural gas service into the city.

The polls will be open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Beulah Civic Center to answer the question. For those not able to go to the polls, absentee ballots can be picked up at Beulah City Hall.

A "yes" vote means the voter agrees that the city of Beulah has the authority to form a municipal utility to lease or own a natural gas pipeline distribution system. A "no" vote means the voter does not want the city to form such a utility in any form.
